Humanist Association is a non-government and non-profit voluntary organization established in 1997. In 1998 we obtained registration (Reg. # Bager/228/98) from the Department of Social- Welfare of Bangladesh Government and the registration (Reg. # 2246, date 21.06.2007) from the NGO Affairs Bureau, Bangladesh under “The Foreign Donations (Voluntary Activities) Regulation Rules, 1978 & The Foreign Contributions (Regulation) Ordinance, 1982”. Though we achieved the registration in 1998, in real terms the activities of the organization started 17th March,1997.

  Humanist Association works in the coastal region of Bagerhat district for the development of the poor and especially the marginalized people, with special focus and emphasize on women, children and the disabled.
